Eating ice cream summons some of my most crystalline memories. Happily shattering the chocolate shell of my first Dairy Queen dipped cone on the way home from a steamy summer hike. Comforting myself with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Half-Baked during a breakup. Slicing into the layers of a Baskin-Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge cake for my best friend’s birthday as we sang and laughed together.
