I confess: I’m writing this from my bed. In my case, it is a Floyd bed, which began as a queen-size frame in 2017, when I lived in a fourth-floor attic apartment in Brooklyn. Almost five years later, I now live in Los Angeles, and that queen-size frame is now a king thanks to a $395 expansion kit.
